PROJECT 2 : Inter [ACTIVE] Artist Essential

PROJECT 2 : Inter [ACTIVE] Artist Essential

“The art supplies an artist chooses to go back to time and time again are a very personal choice. You could even say that it’s not even a choice, it is something that happens organically as you experiment and test different supplies: Some you immediately fall in love with, and some you use once and then they get buried in the back of that one miscellany drawer.”
This project is a continuation of PROJECT 1 : KNOW[ING] the Artist, in which I am tasked to design a portable and compact artist essential tool kit for Flore, my chosen artist.

For this project, I have to further research on the artist's basic/unique tools, medias and other supplies as part of his artwork’s essentials. By identifying these tools & items will give an advantage in designing the artist essential casing that is also portable, easy to bring along anywhere to their desire places. This project will be a custom design special made for the selected artist only and have its multiple functions and aesthetic value transform from the artist’s keywords derived from their artwork collections.

Project 2 Presentation Board
My artist essential kit design for Flore is inspired by the cylinder make-up brush casing and the rotating round shape shelves. The combination of circle and cylinder shape can give a sleek and compact look for the tool kit. It is also a different (irregular) approach in design compared to a common rectangular and geometric shaped painter's tool kit found online.

As for the more detailed explanation of my design..
This cylinder type bag can be carried by the handle or sling using the detachable strap. This bag consists of 2 parts which are the outer jacket and the inner core.
The inner core consists of a pole for canvas storage, a rotating shelf for easy product management when the artist is doing his work and a small drawer compartment at the bottom as a storage for miscellaneous stuffs that can't be strapped.
Rubber straps are sewn onto the inner part of the outer jacket to ensure secure grip and storage for the artist's tools. Rubber straps are also provided on the body of the canvas storage (pole) for extra storage space.
